Using EDF2ASC GUI Converter
|
The EDF2ASC converter can read one or more EDF files, creating text files with the same name but with the ASC extension.
Several EDF files can be loaded in each conversion session. To add one EDF file into a session, click "File -> Add EDF File(s)", or click on the button (
) on the left. The user can also drag the intended files into the converter with Windows Explorer.
To remove EDF file(s) from a conversion session, simply select the files and click "File -> Remove EDF File(s)", or click on the button (
) on the right.
To convert the loaded EDF files, click on the "Convert" button at the bottom of the application. Depending on the size of the file(s) and the number of files selected, this conversion time can vary from a fraction of a second to serveral minutes.
After the conversion is finished, a text message "Conversion Completed" is displayed at the bottom-left corner of the application.
Messages on the conversion session will also be printed on the "Log" tab of the converter.
Exiting the Conversion Session
A conversion session can be terminated by clicking on "File -> Exit", or on the windows close button (
) at the top-right corner of the application.
However, the former approach also rermembers the current directory setting so that in a new conversion setting, the default directory of EDF file loading is set as the directory of the last conversion session.
